I read posts on buffing uniques and lesser known items to diversifybuilds. After the league ends, those runewords wouldn't work anymore. However, I wouldn't be oppose to having a league that introduces TEMPORARY runewords that grants TP and Conviction for cheaper but that only works within the league, just for fun.

This is exactly the same for Enigma and Infinity. You get your build rolling super early and after that point, each new item is just a stat boost and nothing changes for you.Ĭomparing that to getting your hands in a Mageblood from PoE or a Headhunter (a couple leagues ago mind you) or another super hard unique to get that allows your build to thrive even more and changes your approach when playing. This is key to keep the grind engaging for me.Īnd the same reason I get bored with D3 endgame quite fast. If I could have TP coming from a much cheaper and reliable source, enigma would just be an upgrade, thus not as exciting as it is right now.Īnd this is the sole reason I like D2 "endgame" and PoE as well, cause you can get your build rolling with good items but once you get BiS ones the way you play changes. For me, Enigma and Infinity are both amazing exactly beacuse they're a great reward for hours and hours of farming hard, thus drastically changing how you approach the game with those items in hand. That is to say I think something like this would be a step in the right direction toward narrowing the gap between the meta/non-meta classes, but I don't expect it would be a complete solution. I'd love for every other class to feel as cool with being able to teleport around (I would definitely love to make a Summoner Necro/Druid and be able to tele-stomp onto my desired target without needing a Jah+Ber first), but I also don't expect it would wildly flip the meta completely on its head. I still think there ABSOLUTELY should be more accessible ways to get to Teleport, and that's coming from someone who loves Sorceress. Many classes and builds would definitely bridge some of the gap, but Hammerdin/FoHdin would become an even more clear-cut front runner. If you give every class earlier access to Teleport, I don't think it would shift the meta as much as most people think.

Teleport makes the Sorceress incredibly powerful yes, but immunes are still a large issue for any class other than magic damage dealing ones that limit your farming areas until you get an item that is equally as expensive as Enigma in Infinity. Unfortunately I think you would just end up having lobbies full of Sorcs for a couple days until they farm the runes for this new runeword, then you'd see lobbies full of Paladins.
